Aloha Friday - #35

Aloha Everyone! In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend.Friday used to be my friend, but today it signals the end of another week... that went by too quickly! But, I survived the week, so to celebrate! Let's sit back, relax and enjoy a little blog hop. No heavy mental lifting today... just one simple little question...

Pumpkins.... Farm or Store Bought?

We will be going down to the pumpkin path, our pumpkin path, with friends soon. It is a tradition that we look forward to. Finding the perfect pumpkin includes a ride in the pumpkin wagon, a run through the corn maze and lots of picture opportunities.

Yesterday while we were out shopping, I saw that our? local Walmart had pumpkin bins out front. Each orange globe was almost $3! Sheesh. Then, when we were out at Home Depot, more over priced pumpkins. What is going on? Have you ever paid prices like that? Or do you visit a local grower for a more frugal model?

If you are looking for more Aloha Friday fun, go to An Island Life and check out the other posts on the Linky. Have a great weekend!

  1. Both, we pick one out at a farm to just enjoy in the house and then we get one for carving at the store

  6. We've honestly done both - sometimes the ones in the store are actually cheaper, depending on where you go.

  7. Only option around here is store bought. I think it would be really neat to get to pick your pumpkin from the field though.
