The Pixel Boutique Beautified my Blog - Review & #Giveaway

I have been blogging since my son was born, so about 3 1/2 years now. As with many blogs, I started it to share photos with friends and family living across the country. I remember opening up Blogger, selecting a simple background and working through the tutorials. I had no idea what I wanted or what I was doing!

After two years, I was blogging regularly and my DH designed a header for me. It finally made my blog feel personal with pics of my babies and some of the food we have made. After a while my background expired and I searched high and low for a theme and background to fit my personality. Most of them fell into two categories, either I didn't like them or they were out of my price range.

Doesn't my blog look pretty now? Well, thanks to The Pixel Boutique, I finally have a look I can live with. Blog design is as important as finding the right dress for a party. I open up my blog everyday and seeing the Khaki and Dots theme from The Pixel Boutique just makes me smile. It is one of the pre-made blog themes available for only $25, and installation service is also available for only $15 more.

I was so excited to have this opportunity to not only give my blog a much needed facelift, but also bring you a great giveaway. Of course, first I had to install the blog theme. Just short of having a panic attack, I saved my old header and theme and downloaded the design and tutorial. I was so nervous about doing something wrong I enlisted my DH's help. He is much more into the technical side of things! Nicole had sent a zip file containing the banner, social media buttons, background and installation instructions.

Well, the near panic attack was uncalled for. My DH had it going and said, "Is that it?" We were both surprised at how fast and simple it was to do. Next time I am ready for a blog make-over from The Pixel Boutique, I know I can handle it on my own. The tutorials were easy to understand with Youtube videos for visual people like myself to see exactly were to click and what to type. Loved it! The pre-made themes are available for Blogger (which I used), Typepad and Wordpress also.
