Mamavation Monday - Spring Renewal

I love Spring!

The daffodils are in bloom, the baby lambs dot the fields and our greenhouses are full of sprouting seedlings. With all changes in life it is a great time to take stock of goals, refocus and find balance for the longer days and warming weather.

A big congratulations to the 3 Mamavation Mom Graduates, Laura, Lolo and Andrea. I can't wait to hear their parting thoughts and advice to anyone thinking of applying for next time.

With Spring coming I can already feel the need to garden coming on.

My seeds are here, and this past weekend I spent time with my little planters getting our lettuce, eggplant and herb seeds started. We still have several direct sow items that will have to wait for warmer weather. It is so exciting to see the seedlings breaking through the dirt.

This is just the beginning of the busiest season for my family. It actually won't settle down until mid-Winter later this year! My husband will be working longer hours and I will have the task of preserving and preparing everything we grow and pick. We also like to spend as much time as we can out of doors and my hobby of choice is keeping our backyard vegetable garden going.

What do you look forward to about Spring? Any garden plans?

This week's question is:
How do you keep yourself active, when you really don’t feel like working out ?

That is easy! Just play. Whether we are walking down to U-pick for berries, running through the sprinkler to cool off or turning the soil in my garden there are so many fun options that can get my heart pumping and my muscles working. The warmer weather always makes it easier for me. Spring is my favorite time because there aren't as many bugs and it isn't too hot yet. Don't forget family bike rides, playing in the park with the kids and long walks with the dog. Just remember to have fun.

Come say hi tonight as I chat about life after being Mamavation Mom. Can you believe it has been almost a year? Please let me know if you have any questions for me. I love questions!
