Don't mind me.. I'm outside right now.

I am digging, planting and chasing down my kids in the yard.
As a blogger at home I probably don't take off as much time as I should. Add to this the grey and soggy Oregon weather and this Mama has had cabin fever for the past several months.
So I am taking a little break today.
No meal plan yet this week, we still have leftovers to work through, and no exercise plan yet. But don't worry! I am getting plenty of steps (over 13,000 yesterday) and plenty of strength coming from all the shoveling and hoeing.
This past weekend I cleaned up our backyard and with a little elbow grease got it all ready for Summer Grilling. Grilling is one of my favorite ways to prepare a simple and healthy meal. Pass on the heavy sauces, see what the veggies and meat taste like naturally. We grilled everything from scallions, mushrooms and grape tomatoes to squash and pineapple.
On that note I will leave you. I haven't stepped on the scale today, but my shorts are fitting great and I feel good. Sometimes a change is needed and it really feels good to get in some old fashioned hard work.
