I love going on vacation with my family. I hate having to come home.
With the mountains of dirty laundry and all the items I have to unpack, sorting the whites, brights, darks and others is such a hassle. Yes, my mama always stressed how important sorting is.
Okay, during my early twenties I tried to buck the sorting habbit. It didn't end well. College laundry? Yes, you really can turn all your whites pink with one pair of red socks. And I promise it isn't a good pink...nor is it consistently dyed. No, I learned my lesson with splotchy pink and spotted clothes.
Purex must have heard my secret wish though and recently unveiled a detergent that has anti-color transfer technology. White T-shirts can now co-mingle with my purple sweatshirt and khaki shorts. Talk about a color party.
I put this to the test after vacation this past weekend. It was the perfect way to cut down on my laundry time. I still sorted all the delicates and heavy items so nothing was stretched or ripped, but colors didn't hold me back anymore.
Seriously, why hasn't someone done this before?
And isn't this the perfect detergent for teaching my oldest to do the laundry? Okay, I still plan to teach him how to sort, but this will be my insurance policy against those nasty pink shirts.
