Since Chili's now offers a new Triple Dipper, where you can choose your favorite 3 appetizers from 10 choices. In honor of this, I want to ask, if you could have any 3 foods on a plate, what would they be? I would select prime rib, shrimp and fried tofu steak. I know, a little bit of protein overload, isn't it? Oh, well. I didn't say a healthy plate, just my dream team of flavors.
I took my family out to Chili's to try out this new Triple Dipper. We love going to Chili's because with my children's restrictive diet, Chili's offers a wide array of fruit and vegetable choices they can safely eat. At this visit, we noticed something new at the restaurant.
They had a big basket of books in the waiting area. So, instead of my children fidgeting while we waited for our food, they could read books. I loved it! My daughter chose a book about chickens, of course!
So, what did I order? Honestly it was had to decide which appetizers to choose. I finally settled on the 2 Sliders, Spinach Artichoke Dip and Southwestern Eggrolls... which are my favorites!
I was not a big fan of the sliders, mine seemed a little dry. I did love the size though. The artichoke dip comes with Chili's super thin chips and is creamy and perfect. But the best part of my plate were the Southwestern Eggrolls. I love the black beans and corn dipped served with an avocado and ranch dip that is so yummy!
I ordered the Tripple Dipper instead of a entree, but it was still enough food to share with others. If the burgers were cut in half, this platter could easily be shared with 4 people.
My husband, as usual, ordered the quesadilla. Pretty soon he might start to look like a quesadilla. He likes to stick with things he really enjoys on the menu.
And what did the kid's have? They enjoyed french fries, steamed broccoli and shared a house salad with me. In case you are curious, they have PKU and don't eat normal protein. I love that Chili's has options for our whole family.
