If you enjoy the humor of Scrubs and the drama on Grey's Anatomy, you will want to check out In Stitches by Anthony Youn M.D.

This Memoir follows Anthony through his journey to become a doctor... Why does someone decide to become a doctor? Maybe it is a whole life full of experiences that push a person towards medicine.  This book follows that journey and is  humorous, honest and at times touching. From super nerd with thick glasses to peanut butter and jelly devouring medical student to the media's go-to plastic surgeon, it is quite a journey to read! Just by the initial description, a memoir of becoming a plastic surgeon, I was intrigued.

So who is he? Well, Anothony Youn made his national TV debut on Dr. 90210 and has been on several television shows including: The Rachael Ray Show, The Doctors and The O'Reilly Factor. With such an impressive resume, who wouldn't want to read this book?

Reading about his non-stop studying in college, dating disasters, and rather meager social life were easy to identify with. That could be any student studying to succeed. But, I was fascinated by his stories of patient interactions that touched him early on. From a strong family of support, he worked hard, blossomed and was able to find his true calling to help others.
