An Ode to My Husband & The Makeover We Needed #MaLoUnderwear

Meet my husband, the farmer.

This man can get dirty! From dirt to hay to grease, I have seen it all come through my laundry room.

It wasn't always this way. When we dated he wasn't quite so dirt-obsessed. In college he was always clean-cut, presentable, and work at a newspaper after college kept him in button up shirts, ties and dress slacks. Looking professional and making an impression were important.

Now, he makes a different kind of impression on the world. He grows food to feed his family and the community, he watches over the land diligently and he helps to keep machinery on the farm running. His stained clothing and smeared face are signs of his hard work and long hours.

I can't fault him for the work pants. Goodness knows a new, clean pair will look hopeless after just one day. But, what I can't abide by are ratty, holey, boring underwear he wears underneath them!

Yes, you heard me. There is no reason for. When I told my husband about this make-over his worst pairs mysteriously disappeared overnight. Take my word for it, they were in worse shape than his pants!

I was thrilled to receive a package of 2 MaLo underwear trunks by Mario Lopez. Wow! Does this mean my husband and Mario Lopez have something in common? Well, I don't mind. I watched my fair share of Saved by the Bell during my childhood.

The brand slogan is pretty cute, "Half Good, Two Thirds Bad." A play on words with Mario Lopez's name and the word "bad" in Spanish. But, I don't have anything bad to say about them. My husband's only request is that they add a longer trunk to their line in the future since that is what he currently wears.

A comfortable cotton, spandex blend the prints were a fun change from his ratty-regulars. My man is not a tighty-whitey type of guy, but that doesn't mean there was anything but boring in his underwear drawer.

Well, even though I couldn't throw out his rough looking work clothes, this did spur us both on to purging our closets and getting rid of the holey, the worn-out and the embarrassing articles of clothing we still had lurking about.

My husband has a fun and quirky personality. I think the addition of MaLo underwear added a little more fun into his wardrobe, even if we are the only people who know. Yes, my husband cleans up nicely, but I'll try not to blind you with his farmer's tan. Just take my word for it he is wearing his #MaLoUnderwear.

You can grab your man his own pair of MaLo underwear in Target stores. See how much fun a little "bad" can be!
