I love my favorite food to have good flavor, even a little kick! So sriracha sauce has been a staple in my pantry lately. Whether it is drizzled on my favorite egg scramble in the morning, or it goes on my famous homemade macaroni and cheese for dinner, the flavor is bold and exciting.

Looking to grab your own bottle? Well, Texas Pete, a well known hot sauce brand beloved on southern tables for decades is branching out and brings to the table CHA! by Texas Pete.

Celebrate the Year of the Horse with P.F. Chang's New Winter Menu

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of P.F. Chang's for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

The year of the Horse is in full swing now and so is P.F. Chang's New Winter Seasonal Menu. That means, in addition to my standard favorite like Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Buddha's Feast, there is a whole bunch of tasty new additions to try. ...can someone hand me a fork?

It is hard for me to choose just a few new menu items to tempt you with, but this Chili Shrimp Bao does look perfect for a lunch or dinner date out with my husband. I love shrimp and since I am the only one in the family who does, I enjoy ordering it when I am out.

These are Asian inspired "sliders" served on little pillows of "bao" (that means bread), with lettuce, chili-marinated shrimp, carrots, cucumber, pickled diakon (my favorite!) and topped with tamarind-chili. Tamarind is such a fragrant and unique flavor, I just know this has to be good.

And the perfect end to the meal would be these Cream Cheese Wontons. Don't you agree?
Handmade crispy wontons filled with vanilla cream cheese, dusted with powdered sugar and served with a vanilla raspberry sauce seems like a delicious treat. I am quite a wonton fan.

So, which of the new menu items look good to you?

Facing the Day with New Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Honey Bunches of Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy

What's in your cereal bowl?

Most mornings I could barely tell you what I poured into mine. No, after getting my son ready to meet the bus, pushing start on my Keurig and sitting down to feed the baby, I just grab whatever is handy and fast. Breakfast is often just another thing to cross off my to-do list.

Usually rather bland and boring, really.

This week I tried the two new cereals from Post, part of the Honey Bunches of Oats family.   Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy comes in both Cinnamon Crunch and Chocolatey Almond Crunch. I was hoping this would be an easy way to add a little extra *zing* to my morning routine

Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy cereal

I tried a bowl of the Chocolatey Almond Crunch first, I mean, getting to have chocolate for breakfast? As an adult?  And it is packed with whole grain, protein and fiber, too? I couldn't wait to sink my spoon into that.

Well, my cereal held up with a nice crunchy texture (from the almond slivers and granola clusters), and there were just enough little chunks of chocolate to be a treat without it being too sweet. It was a winner in my book.

The Cinnamon Crunch was also tasty. A more subtle flavor, it was the first box my husband reached for, and the two of us finished off our boxes in just a few days.

My favorite thing about both new flavors was they were simple and satisfied me through the entire morning. I didn't feel the need to start snacking by 10 am. It is probably all that fiber in there. Each serving packs 2/3 of my daily serving of whole grains.*

Neither could be considered boring or bland. It was a nice change. Did I have more energy? Well, feeling full all morning definately helped me tackle my day.

Be sure to connect with Honey Bunches of Oats on Facebook and on Twitter to hear about new products, promotions and other exciting news.

Hungry yet? Which flavor would you like to try first?

*Nutritionists recommend eating three or more servings of whole grain foods per day (about 16g whole grain per serving, or at least 48g per day).
