I was sent a VTech Switch & Go Dinos Turbo - Bronco The RC Triceratops in order to create my review.  the VTech products and information have all been provided by VTech. All experiences and opinions are my own.

My kids love remote controlled toys! From cars to airplanes and helicopters they will spend hours driving or flying them around the house. But VTech offers the only car/dinosaur combination I have seen. 

From the first Switch and Go Dinos I blogged about in 2012, to Blister the Velociraptor we loved last year, the new Bronco the RC Triceratops has been an instant hit in our house.

For ages 3-8 years (MSRP: $44.99) this is an RC toy especially for little hands. Just one touch at the top of the controller switches from car to dino mode.  It includes a steering wheel, directional button, headlight button, turbo boost button as well as sounds and talk buttons.

This Switch & Go Dinos  is the first RC toy that my 5-year old was able to use unassisted out of the box. Unlike other remote control toys, it also included an LCD screen display for dinosaur eyes or the car driver (kids can choose from 4 options). 

And even though my 5-year old was good to go, that didn't mean that older kids weren't interested. Her 7-year old brother and his older friends were very interested in it at a recent play date.

Both the remote and car take batteries, but we filled our with rechargeable to cut down on the cost.

In race car mode the vehicle really moves! The kids have had a great time racing it down halls and maneuvering it around the obstacles of the playroom. 

Overall, if you are looking for a cool new toy to gift this Christmas, the Switch & Go Dinos are sure to be a big hit. They are a great first RC toy for a girl or boy on your list this holiday season.  From personal experience, my kids have enjoyed all of their Switch and Go Dinos, but the toys keep getting better year after year.

Roaring Fun: Blister the Velociraptor™ from VTech (plus Giveaway)

*Disclaimer - I received Blister the Velociraptor from VTech in order to facilitate my honest review. My son tried out the new toy for me. All experiences and opinions are my own.

One of my son's first words was, "High-tow". That was what he called a helicopter for the first 2 years of his life.

At almost 6, he can now say, "helicopter" and thanks to television and documentaries he can also say, "velociraptor". When I was approached to try out VTech's newest Switch & Go Dino, Blister the Velociraptor, I knew Blister would be an instant hit in my house.

My son is pretty sure he is going to be a Paleontologist in his free time. You know, when he isn't driving a tractor on our farm? Well, being a dinosaur fan surely fueled his interest in the new changing toy, but it wasn't the only reason.

Unlike the changeable toys of my childhood, this helicopter/velociraptor also has motion activated sounds, talks and has a light. It also gives out some fun dinosaur facts that my son now has memorized. I think the first thing my son did was push all the buttons to see how it worked. He was over the moon when he found out how to launch the rocket.

My son had no problem figuring out how to switch his helicopter into dinosaur mode. The pieces move easily and fingers do not get pinched. Even his 4 year old sister figured out how to move all the parts.

It will launch from both the helicopter and dino mode. The light is underneath the helicopter, or shines from the dinosaur's mouth.

In helicopter mode, the pilot shows up in the cockpit, but switch it over to a velociraptor and see it's big eyes watching you. I love how the toy can switch over so completely for seamless play.
