Mamavation Monday - Away to Play!


I hope everyone had a great week!

Today I would love to share my meal plan for the week with you, but I don't have one... or not like I usually do. We are planning and packing for our annual family vacation. Yippee! I think a little get-away with the family is just what I need to re-energize.

Don't assume I am going empty handed though. Our room at the resort as a microwave and mini-fridge so I am taking a dish of baked oatmeal to reheat, Greek yogurt, nuts, dried fruit and my trusty filter water bottle from Camelbak.

See, I still have a plan.

We love going to Great Wolf Lodge in Washington. Fun, water slides and story time for the little ones. I am looking forward to getting out of the house and relaxing. I think a little Spring stress-relief will do me good. Unfortunately, I am not sure where to put my pedometer on my swimsuit during the stay, but will be back and ready to jump right into March's pedometer challenge.

I am excited that Sue ( @MrsFatAss ) will be the Mamavation guest Monday night. I just got a copy of Zumba Rush for XBox Kinect and LOVE it!

I live in a rural area without the time and daycare to make a live class, maybe someday, but the games are a great substitute. I definitely don't mind dancing like a fool if no one is watching.

I had Zumba for Wii and I loved it, but ditching the controler and sensor is liberating. I can dance like it is a DVD, but it keeps track of me, my calories and the dances and times I have logged.

I love to dance!  Any kind of music with a beat will do. I love finding new games and DVDs to show me a few new moves and get me dripping sweat. I still love to dance in my kitchen and dream of having a "dancer's body" someday.
