Earlier this month, October 5th, KT Tunstall released her her third official studio album, "Tiger Suit" . Having been a fan since I first hear "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" in 2005, as well as a fan of "Suddenly I See", I was really excited to listen to her new creations. She is a talented Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum Scottish born singer-songwriter and guitarist. I have to say that it was different from my bluesy favorite, but I still loved it.
I popped in the CD while I was home with my kids. My daughter loved it immediately. She quickly began dancing and swaying to the music. I have to admit that the first song on the album, "Uummannaq Song" got me up and moving. It would be great in my IPod for doing my cleaning or going on a walk. The fourth song, "Difficulty" I just can't get out of my head. I have caught myself singing or humming the chorus throughout the day. "Fade Like a Shadow" is already a Top 20 hit on the radio, and I understand why! I love how unique and haunting of a voice KT Tunstall has. This song has a great tempo and energy to it. Then there is the nineth track on the album, "(Still A) Weirdo"... you gotta love that the title.
The poetry in her lyrics is beautiful and she has the voice to compliment it. What more could you want in an album? I am very happy with this new addition to my music collection and would recommend it to my friends. Though it is not really my DH's thing, the kids and I outnumber him. So, there!
