Wordless Wednesday - Farm Check

Last night we walked around to check on the various fields. It is a great chance for my kids to see how their food grows.


Rarely do I see the alfalfa blooming around the edges of the field..


 Peaches are coming along nicely...


And my DH was checking the first corn...


Not ready yet, but it has soft silk to touch...



...and hidden treasure inside.


We couldn't help but take a taste.

    Very cool! I've never seen alfalfa in bloom before. It's really pretty. And that corn does look tasty!

    How awesome! We planted corn...and we live in a suburb...but still hoping for something good to eat!

    Wonderful way to teach the children about food sources. I bet that baby corn tasted sweet!
