Friday Food Frenzy (6/21) - Welcome to Summer Flavors!

Summer is finally here! Oregon weather has been throwing us a curve ball this year. With all the warm and dry days, the fruit and vegetables are coming early. Cherries and raspberries before the Fourth of July? Well, that is unusual in our area. Strawberries are getting harder and harder to find and our U-pick stand has closed for the year. Summer Squash is now being picked and I am ready to enjoy the first fresh picked basil of the year. I love Summer produce and all the recipe possibilities!

Thanks for joining in for another Friday Food Frenzy. For a personal update, my baby boy arrived last Thursday and we are home and getting back into a routine. Food has been simple and often supplied by dear friends, but this week I hope to roll up my sleeves and get back  into the kitchen with a few berry treats. Thanks again for stopping by, I can't wait to see what you link up.

This week's Featured Recipe comes from Mama to 5 Blessings.  I don't know how Nicole does it but she has 5 children and amazing recipes and crafts on her blog.   Check out the Easy Thin Mints from her site.  I have a girl scout at home but I am sure she won't mind us making these when our stash is gone!!
