Aloha Friday... my 2nd!

Welcome again to Aloha Friday, a meme that allows you to hang out and learn more about your bloggy friends without any serious mental lifting. This great Friday fun was brought to us by Kailani over at Island Life.Just one question, short, sweet and fun! My question for the week involves the upcoming Superbowl. Since I am all about food, I want to know what your favorite Superbowl food is? Come on! Make me hungry!

I really like tortilla chips and this famous dip my Mother-in-law makes. It has been called everything under the sun, but the name that sticks is "barf dip". Making it is super easy! ...and it is quite tasty! Just throw together:

1 can of chili con carne
1 block of cream cheese
1 can of chilis

throw that in the microwave till it is all soft, stirring occasionally. It is best served warm, but honestly it won't last long enough to get cold!

    Philadelphia Cream Cheese
A pkg. of Italian seasoning (by Seven Seas)
one small can of V8 juice and mix.

Dip fresh veggies in this one.

  3. Mmmm... making me hungry. Back when I ate meat, my favorite was buffalo wing dip served with Chicken in a Biscuit crackers.

3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 bottle Texas Pete wing sauce
    6 tablespoons butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (16 ounce) bottle blue cheese dressing (I like Marie's Chunky)

    Pre-heat oven to 350
Boil chicken then drain and shred. Return to pot and add in butter and wing sauce.
Spread cream cheese in bottom of 8x8 glass baking dish. Top with chicken mixture and then top with blue cheese dressing. Bake about 15-20 minutes until bubbly.

    Soooo. Goood.

  7. My alltime favorite it Spinach Artichoke dip with pita chips:

1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach
    2 (13 3/4-ounce) cans artichoke hearts
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
1 cup grated pepper jack cheese
    Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a casserole dish with nonstick spray.

Heat the spinach in a microwave oven on high for 5 minutes and squeeze dry. Drain the artichoke hearts and coarsely chop in a food processor.

Combine all the ingredients except the jack cheese in a large bowl. Stir well. Scrape into the prepared casserole dish and sprinkle the jack cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes. Transfer to a chafing dish and keep warm over a low flame.
