What got you out of Saturday mornings as a child? For me it was the cartoons! Long before my parents woke up, I was right in front of the tube for that magical cartoon marathon known as Saturday morning. It didn't matter if I was tired or hungry. I didn't miss a morning. It was what I looked forward to all week long.
There were a handful of favorites I still remember. Unfortunately they are no longer on TV to share with my kids, but I would love to introduce them to some of the classics. One of those favorites was Alvin and the Chipmunks. I always loved Theodore. He was so cute and sweet. Luckily for me "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and for Digital Download. Even after all these years just hearing their names starts the cartoon theme song playing in my head. Of course, along with that famous yell...."ALVIN!"
I remember that those pint sized singers were a big part of my childhood. Did you listen to their Christmas carols? I did. I think that record was a holiday staple. Yeah that has been a long time ago....
