Are you drowning in slips of paper, scraps, bills, statements and other office clutter?
A new tax year and Spring cleaning fever makes me want to banish the clutter and throw it all out! Of course, the threat of identity theft keeps me from just bagging it. The safer alternative is a document shredder. Do you have one?
We have been through a few and I know it is important to find the right shredder for your family. Have you heard of the Fellowes P12-C Shredder?
The P12-C uses Cross-Cut technology to turn a single sheet of paper into about 399 peices! It also can shred staples, credit cards and paper clips for easy shredding and clean up. I don't know about you, but I have messed with machines that require me to unstaple, unclip and ultimately get clogged quickly. A machine that is easy to use is much more likely to get used.
It also boasts a slim profile and patented SafeSense technology that disables the shredder when it senses a pet or hands get too close to the opening.
This shredder is available at Target Stores nationwide and retails for $89.99.
Remember as you clean out your documents to shred anything with personal or sensitive information. Even credit card junk mail should be disposed of properly to discourage identity theft. And don't forget about your digital files either! Change passwords and make a backup of your system frequently.
*Disclaimer - I wrote this while working with the One2One Network and Fellowes for a chance to win one of these shredders. No monetary compensation was received and all opinions expressed are my own.
