Halo Bars Keep Mommy Moving! Review & #Giveaway

I try to make good food choices, but as a busy Mom sometimes I am forced to eat on the go. We are trying to eat clean and as natural as possible right now.  Halo bars have been the perfect snack to keep in my diaper bag or purse and not be going against my new eating habits.

Mmmm.... PROBAR created a snack that I can really bite into. It is Summer, so I am not a fan of chocolate covered bars that can melt and make me think of candy bars. I really don't need that kind of sugar spike when I am snacking! I want something with real ingredients I can read on the back and taste in the product. These are whole, organic and raw foods. You would never know by the taste though. They are sweet and delicious enough that I looked forward to having one. Not dry or too hard, I felt satisfied between meals with just one bar.

The Halo bar line comes in 4 flavors. Each was delicious, but I was really excited about the Nutty Marshmallow and Rocky Road. The Marshmallow flavor came through distinctly and you can see chunks of marshmallow in the bar. I also can't pass up the chocolate flavor of the Rocky Road.

Each Halo bar is:
  • only 150 calories
  • vegan
  • dairy free
  • low sugar
  • certified organic
You can find these at REI, or natural food, grocery or outdoor shops. Learn more about these bars at http://theprobar.com/.

Overall I was very happy to learn about the Halo Bars. I will be looking for a store carrying them near me.

The real question is, which Halo bar flavor would suit you? Take their flavor quiz on the PROBAR facebook page.

  12. I tend to snack on what is handy. It might be crackers and cheese or popcorn or ice cream or chocolate. It also depends on what I am craving: salty or sweet.
