ReplyDeleteI try to keep all of my daughters toys in different bins than my sons. If we don't do this it ends up a mess.

I keep toys in bins and swap out the bins monthly. So we only have 1 boy's toys bin and 1 girl's toys bin out at a time. It keeps the clutter away and to the kids it is like getting news toys monthly.
ReplyDeleteI stapled baby food jar lids to a strip of wood (1/2 x 2) and tacked it under the top shelf of a shelving unit in my craft room. I can put beads, buttons, glitter, and other small things in the jars and just screw them up onto the lids!

Menu plan. Do it. It saves so much time and helps us eat better too. Start with just dinners... maybe even just dinners on those nights of the week when you're really busy. But, start somewhere.

I love to put things in clear plastic storage boxes. You can see whats inside and keep things neat.
ReplyDeleteUse pretty organizers! Baskets, notebooks, bins... whatever you use, make sure they're pretty. I know I'm more likely to continue to use something if it's pretty!

ReplyDeleteNothing better than a label maker to get me organized.
ReplyDeleteI keep a basket between the family room and the bedrooms which I can throw items into that get left around the house. Once a week or so I carry the basket and put the items where they belong. I started this when we had stairs and it was such a pain to keep running items upstairs. We no longer have stairs but it's still helpful.
