Well, of course we do!
I know, coming from a woman who blogs about all the food in her life, this sounds like a no-brainer, right? Well, there is a new book coming out by fellow SocialMom and certified health counselor Beth Aldrich titled, Real Moms Love to Eat.
I am looking forward to reviewing a copy of this book when it comes out in January 2012. It fits well with my current food goals and focus here on Adventures in Food. The book is divided into 3 sections, a 10-part plan for making gradual and healthy food changes with meal plans, recipes as well as lifestyle changes. I love that all the reviews so far say it is not a "diet" book... it is a lifestyle book.
Diets are so hard to follow, but eating and having food options is something I can live with. I have never been personally successful on diets. Since I joined Mamavation last year, I have been working at changing my opinions on food, expanding my pallet and making healthy swaps. This book sounds just like what I am already striving for.
About the Author: Beth Aldrich was former host and producer of PBS's For Her Information. Though always interested in healthy living, a serious car accident in 2007 started her on a journey to formally study Holistic Health and Nutrition. She believes a happy life comes from both health and pleasure. She wants to share this information with other Moms so they can also enjoy food guilt-free while eating healthy and delicious foods. Find more information, including how to pre-order her book at www.RealMomsLovetoEat.com. ((New American Library, a Penguin Books Imprint, January, 2012)
Beth is running a “Food Affairiate” program right now for bloggers to help promote her upcoming book. This is how I will be getting a copy to review. (Yes, stay tuned!)
For the program you will need to contact Beth, schedule a virtual tour stop, review a digital copy of the book on your blog, promote on social media channels and then will be eligible for random prize drawings!
So, what are you waiting for? Eat, read and be happy everyone.
