#Mamavation Monday - Can't Keep my Eyes Open

I.Am.Exhausted.

Not the kind of sleepy because I stayed up with my kids exhausted. No. My body has been used, the blood is flowing and my eyes want to close. Probably repairing from the 22 mile bike ride on the tandem with my husband, pulling our two children in the trailer. It is heavier than you might imagine! I was very grateful to be able to shimmy my way into my old cycling shorts and a jersey.

Actually all week has been good. My best day was over 17,000 steps and I am slowly figuring out how to do P90x without the fear that I will hurt myself.

So this week's Non-Scale Victory is Movement! I pushed my fitness, I got sore and I burned calories. Pretty good, right? With all this activity my body is sore and not surprisingly the scale didn't move in my favor. I'm not worried. I am going to make sure I drink enough water, to flush out toxins, and also make sure I get enough potassium to help with water retention.

Meal planning this week will be simple. As it gets warmer I start making lighter and simpler dinners.

Monday - Stir Fry - just great amounts of colorful veggies sauteed in ponsu & soy sauce over brown rice
Tuesday - Veggie Lasagna (vegetarian style)
Wednesday - Smoked Pork Loin, roasted brussel sprouts, Trader Joe's harvest grain blends
Thursday - Leftovers
Friday - Pizza night! Oven roasted veggies with poached chicken
Saturday - Baked Potatoes, steamed veggies
Sunday - Yum Cups

As for exercise,
I am working on Wk. 1 of C25K, and week 2 of P90x and general stroller walks with my kids and gardening. Oh, yes. I work up quite a sweat in the garden.
