How Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® Products Helped Our Dog, Cooper

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Comfort Zone® products for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Our dog is a big part of our family. We adopted Cooper a few years ago and he has become a great companion to my children, as well as fitting in nicely on the farm. He has his flock of chickens to herd, and big fields to run and play fetch in. I think he is the perfect fit for us.

Of course, having a dog has come with some adjustments. Mainly, the kids have to be careful with their outdoor toys because Cooper chews. If he is upset, I have even caught him carrying off my shoes to hide or chew. This is not my favorite part of being a dog owner, but we have tried to avoid giving him the opportunity for destructive chewing.

Our other issue is barking. I know, I know. Dogs do bark and that is normal, but excessive barking can make the neighbors a little less willing to put up with a new canine in the neighborhood.

So, what can a dog owner do?

Have you heard of Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® products?

Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® (Dog Appeasing Pheromones) products for dogs help control behaviors like excessive braking or whining, destructive chewing, trembling, and house soiling. Yes, it can help with our issues with Cooper.

Now, if you plan on traveling with your pet this holiday season, going to a vet or groomer over the holidays or just have an influx of unfamiliar guests you might notice your dog's stress level go up and more stress-related behavior become evident.

I know after the holidays our home will be changing as we add a new baby to our home. I am sure Cooper will need some help to manage his chewing and barking.

This product was so easy to use! I received a plug-in diffuser and refills that mimics the pheromone released by the mother dog while nursing. This helps to calm the dog. I just plugged mine in near where we keep Cooper's bed. They also offer a spray that can be used to spray a travel kennel or specific area.

Though Cooper's barking has changed much, I have noticed he is chewing much less. In fact, the kids left out a pair of toy binoculars and they were left on our picnic table untouched. This was a real win for us!
This would also be a great product to use if you pet gets nervous during Winter storms. I know many of our friends with small dogs that could really use this product.

You can find your own Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® products at specialty petstores like PetSmart and Petco, independent pet stores and online as well.
