Fels Naptha Soap - A Great Laundry Solution Giveaway

* Disclaimer - Purex provided me with a sample of Purex Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and laundry experiences are my own.

Ever come across this little unassuming bar of laundry soap on the store shelves?

I think I have learned more about what the laundry aisle holds since my children were born. Not only that, but my husband likes to hunt, he works outside and in the shop as a farmer and we have animals. It makes for some pretty funky laundry situations.

When I heard about Purex Fels-Naptha soap, a laundry bar and stain remover, I wanted to try it. When it arrived I gushed to my husband about how economical this product was. He didn't even look up from his lunch. He just said, "yeah, we used to use that for poison oak when I was growing up."

Upon further investigation I learned that Fels-Naptha soap is pretty hard working and has been used to cut through the oils of poison oak and poison ivy in clothing. It is also pretty tough on stains and can be used to treat a stubborn stain, or be grated up and used as a laundry soap.

All that from a simple little bar of soap? Yes. One simple bar.

Fels-Naptha is different from its competitors. The active ingredient of benzene solvent cuts through grease and cleans surfaces. For over 100 years it has fought America's toughest stains. Always hard on dirt and grease, just wet the bar and rub right on the stain then launder as usual.

I added my bar to the laundry room utility sink. It proudly sits next to the GoJo, which is fine - Fels-Naptha can be an eye or skin irritant. It is the perfect way to fight all those tractor grease stains in my husband's work clothing, or mystery messes from my children that get hidden in the bottom of my laundry pile.

How did it work? Great! I used gloves when I treated my clothing, but I also have very sensitive skin. The bar is a great shape (long and thin) for easy gripping and allowed me to control exactly where I applied the stain treatment. As an added Mom bonus, I found it worked amazingly well on those pesky spit-up stains that seem to be all over my shirts these days.

So, if you are looking for a heavy duty and multi-purpose laundry solution, give Purex Fels-Naptha Soap a try on laundry day.
