What is our family eating this week? Well, we try to stay with local, in-season whenever possible so here it is:
Monday
B- Oatmeal, almond butter, a banana and 8 oz. soy milk
L - Flatout wraps with nitrite free turkey, sprouts, tomatoes and cucumber, melon slices
D - Thai Peanut Burger Wraps and a side salad
Tuesday
B- 6 oz Greek yogurt, blueberries, wheat germ & flax seed oil
L- Yum Cups
D- Homemade Gyoza, miso soup, gyoza salad and fruit
Wednesday
B- Oatmeal, almond butter, berries
L- Whole wheat turkey sandwich, fruit and sugar snap peas
D- Spaghetti & meatballs with eggplant in my homemade sauce, steamed vegetable
Thursday
B- Egg scramble with various veggies, 8 oz of soy milk & berries with cinnamon
L- Spaghetti leftovers
D- Breakfast for dinner! Waffles with homemade blueberry syrup and fruit salad
Friday
B- Shredded wheat cereal, fruit and 8 oz. of soy milk
L- tuna salad, whole wheat crackers and fruit
D- Broccoli and leek quiche, salad
Saturday
B- French toast with strawberries
L- Quiche leftovers
D- Boca Burgers with fresh hamburger buns, homemade fries and watermelon
Sunday
B- Scrambled eggs, spinach and mushroom homefries and toast
L- Zucchini, basil and pea pasta
D- Oyakodon, miso soup and wakame salad
This week I will be playing catch-up with past recipes. I have a camera full of photos to share! Until then, eat fresh and local. Enjoy.
